How to make your children stop wetting the bed

Many children tend to wet bed the bed long after mastering staying dry for a long time. This problem make annoy so much for children and their parents. Fortunately, there are some ways to help children stay dry.


 

First, adults should reduce the amount of fluid before bed time.

This solution seems to be the most effective way to avoid children from wetting bed. Actually, it’s not simple. Most pediatricians not recommend diminish fluids. The reason is children will consider that thing as an absurdity punishment. Kids tend to think that bed wetting is the issue, not their fault. So, you have to be patient. You should execute this method gradually. For example, at the first day, you should try taking away liquids every night at 7 p.m..

Then she moved it up to 6 p.m on the next day. Your children can beg you give them beverage at night. In this case, you shouldn’t do as they say. If you do as your kids say, you can’t help them.

 

Second, parents should remind children have toilet trips before bed time.

After reminding, parents should make sure that their children executed it. When  youngsters empty his or her bladder before going to bed at night, the chance of having accident when children are sleeping is decrease.

The third feasible way to make children avoid wetting the bed is encourage them, not criticize.

It is crucial to address the issue of bedwetting. To do this thing successfully, don’t give your kids a punishment when they have accidents. Also, you shouldn’t criticize your children for bedwetting accidents. This accidents usually happen out of your kids’ control. And, force your youngsters feel it bad. It’s a frustration.  Parents should help their children understand more about bedwetting. Also, adults should make your children know how should they do when bedwetting happens. If you can see that your kids try to wake up to avoid making bedwetting, you should give them compliments. This behavior will make your children feel they should do it more. Then, bedwetting on children will be gradually eliminated.

Another way  to solve this problem is try a technique called ‘lifting’.

This method includes  making sure your child goes to the bathroom right before going to bed, and then they are waken up after being asleep two or three times and taken them to bathroom. This technique won’t work immediately. Thus, parents have to be patience. A mother said that she did this technique for 6 weeks. The result is her child didn’t wet the bed suddenly one day. And day after day, the same thing happened. In short, lifting can be a helpful temporary measure while you are waiting to get kids to dry on.

Also, adults can use this way. It’s called “bladder training”.

To execute this technique, parents should help your children delay urination during the day. Using an egg timer, you ask your children to tell you when they have to go. After that, you should ask them to hold it for another few minute. Parents can start with about 5 minutes at the first day. Then, they have to add a couple of minutes each time after. Please do it until your children can delay their urination for about 45 minutes. But this method takes many time. So, you have to do it everyday.

In addition, using waterproof sheet is another solution.

Plastic sheet and disposable underwear can save sanity and mattresses. You can also use the ‘double bubble” method of making a bed. Layer a plastic sheet, regular sheet and a blanket. Then, repeat the same process. Teach the child how to strip off the top layer and make a fresh bed. Keep some fresh pajamas or disposable underwear bedside, too, so he or she can easily change into dry ones.

Furthermore, using bedwetting product is a helpful solution.
